French, Farcot, swinging doll alabaster 8 days, time only, mantel clock with ormolu accents, c1880
CONDITION:
the doll swings front to rear driven by two escape wheels and chaff cutter escapement. The clock is in very good condition with virtually no edge chips or damage, and the cupid has an old patina. The porcelain dial and hands are good; its dial center is tarnished; there never was a bezel or front glass; the feet need a bit of straightening. The movement is correctly stamped. Ht 14.25"
